Twenty five real books, one for every day
A miniature bookcase with twenty five little doors. Behind each one, a tiny hardback that actually opens.

25 real hardbacks
Every one of the 25 tiny books opens, with a real cover and printed pages inside — not a block with a spine printed on.
A classic every day
Twenty-five different miniature classics — think Oz, Alice, A Christmas Carol — one behind each door.
They go on the tree
Every book has a gold cord through the corner, so once it's opened it becomes an ornament.
Kept, not eaten
No chocolate, nothing disposable — the bookcase and its books come back out every December.
How it works

Open the door
Twenty-five numbered drawers, five across and five down — open the one for today.

Open the book
Inside is a proper little book, about six centimetres tall, with a real cover and pages that turn.

Then keep it
Hang it on the tree by its gold cord, then pack the whole set back into the bookcase for next year.
And on the twenty sixth.
Most advent calendars are finished by Christmas Day. This one leaves you twenty-five little hardbacks, each on a gold cord, and a bookcase to keep them in until next December.
The books are yours. Hang them, shelve them, or read them.

"I expected the covers to be printed card. They actually open, and there are real pages inside — my kids were more excited about the books than the toys under the tree."

"Twenty-five ornaments on the tree by Christmas Day, and a little case to keep them in for next year. First advent calendar we haven't thrown away in January."

"They're genuinely tiny — smaller than I pictured — but the drawers are sturdy and the numbers are printed, not stickers. Feels much nicer in person."
"Took a little under three weeks to arrive, so order early if it is a gift. The calendar itself is better than I expected, the carving on the frame is deeper than it looks online."
"One of the little drawers needed a firm pull the first time, and it loosened up. Everything else was perfect. Still the nicest thing I have bought this Christmas."
"I assumed the covers would be printed card and the inside would be blank. They open, and there is real text on the pages. My daughter has read two of them already."
"They are genuinely tiny. A whole book sits inside a matchbox. I had imagined something clunkier, and what turned up is much more delicate."
"I ordered this for my sister and then spent a week trying to talk myself out of keeping it. The books are properly bound, not little blocks with a printed spine. She got hers in the end."
"The part nobody mentions is what happens after Christmas. Twenty-five ornaments and a bookcase to put them back in for next year. It is the only advent calendar I have kept."
